Hike out to our hills and see what the settlers saw. Let your imagination run wild.
Take a lunch and spend the day wandering while watching for old homesteader's trinkets, arrowheads and yes, beautiful rocks painted by nature! You may also come across deer, antelope, prairie dogs, small but mighty burrowing owls and huge jackrabbits! It's a fantastic place to take your furry friend with you.

All of our sites are 30'x60' with 30 & 50 Amp Electric, Sewer and Water. Prices start at $30 per night.
Tents sites are between two rows of 10'-15' cedar trees. Only 6 sites are offered so you will have plenty of privacy.

Our clubhouse offers family activities, a full kitchen, shower and restrooms.

Do you need a little activity? We have horseshoe pits for families to enjoy. Our grounds are also perfect for staying healthy. Long walks, hikes to the bluffs and dry creek beds for hunting rock and bike rides are favorite past times for campers. Even walking the circle around the campground is enough to get your exercise.
The Park has a large play set for children. It includes a slide, climbing wall, monkey bars, tire swig, rope ladder, 2 regular swings, a bucket swing for very young children and a fort at the very top!

Every Saturday and Sunday at Noon, Old Town Museum in Burlington (Approx. 20 minutes from the park) will have a real "Old West Shootout" and the Can-Can girls will provide a lively show at the Saloon every Saturday and Sunday until Labor Day. PLEASE CALL FOR COVID CANCELLATIONS
Old Town Museum is home to several historic buildings that have been moved onto the property over the history of the museum. The first was the Barn, built in 1937 and acquired in 1986. In addition to the barn, 9 other buildings were moved to Old Town, including the Depot, the oldest building here which was originally built in 1889. These buildings were moved in from locations in Burlington and surrounding communities.
Of the nearly 4000 wooden carousels carved in America between 1885 and the 1930s, fewer than 150 are still in existence. One of the finest of these survivors, however, can be found on the county fairgrounds in Burlington, CO.

The 9-hole Stratton Golf Club in Stratton, CO is a public golf course that opened in 1988. Stratton Golf Club measures 2663 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 92 and a 30.7 USGA rating. The course features 2 sets of tees for different skill levels. 719-348-5412

Stratton swimming pool is open for your pleasure. They offer day and night swimming sessions June-August.

Using paved road is 9-10 minutes from I-70.
Using dirt road is 7-8 minutes from the park with no turns.
Dirt road short route: From I-70 take exit 419.9 and take frontage road, (Road 31) on South side of interstate heading East. Stay on this road for 4.4 miles. The park is at the intersection of 31 & R.
ALTERNATE ROUTE TO AVOID DIRT ROAD:
Coming off of I-70- Go north on Colorado Ave. Drive to stoplight and go Left (West) on HWY 24 for .4 miles. Turn Left (South) on Rd 30. Continue South 3.8 miles. Turn left (East) onto CR R and drive 1 mile. Turn Right on CR. 31 and drive .1 mile. Painted Rock Park is on the left side of the road (East)
